Past and Present Suitcase Vignettes

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a Audrey Hepburn or Marilyn Monroe movie?
I love those old movies from the 40's and 50's.  So I gathered vintage items I have collected to pack a train case.  I imagine I am traveling from London to Paris on the Orient Express....
I packed my Kodak camera, french books, scarf, white leather gloves, reading glasses,  and beaded purse for dinner on the train
I also threw in my night cream and powder and hand mirror, umbrella and some postcards to send to family and friends.  Also I added in my pocket watch on a chain, and some playing cards for filling in time and fun with my new friends.

This is what I would pack today for my trip.
My pink Coach leather gloves, my Jackie Kennedy sunglasses, pashmina and turquoise clutch.
My digital camera, umbrella, favorite perfume (Balenciaga Paris), hand sanitizer, fiber bar and my Ipad.
My ipod loaded with Josh Groban, Michael Buble, Backstreet Boys and Yanni.  Favorite lip balm, Burt Bees, organic face cleaners, sugar free gum, passport and my fav white jelly watch.

A couple of  my favorite magazines, Romantic Country and a vintage Victoria.
I wish you all happy travels this summer...Join the party at Common Ground...

  1. Those pink leather gloves are amazing! I saw a pair while walking past Coach today and had to run inside! They're so soft too!!!! Great idea of the turquoise clutch with them!
