Some Ralph Lauren Love!

I want to wish all of you a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!  Thanks for checking in on my little blog every now and then.  I want to thank Debra at Commonground
for letting me join her Vintage Inspiration Parties!

I wanted to share some Ralph Lauren Love!  These inviting beds beckons us to crawl in after the holiday hustle and bustle!
I wanted to share another picture of my bedroom, the bedding and design is definitely Ralph Lauren inspired.  I also love to add vintage touches throughout my house for character.  I just purchased the large Ralph Lauren coffee table book, it is filled with gorgeous pictures and Ralph shares his inspiration for his designs! I love it and I got it at Half.com for a steal! I admire him because he is a wonderful family man with values and most of all he is humble and very hard working!

Home Tour

This home was on a Victorian Home Tour.  It was built in 1904.  The current owners have updated the home while keeping the character.  My favorite room is the kitchen, I love the sideboard converted to an island and the twin chandeliers.  The little sunroom is so quaint!  The master bedroom has a lovely fireplace.

I finished my front porch.  I decided to bring out my vintage chalkboard.  I wrote a scripture from Isaiah to remind myself and my visitors of  the true meaning of Christmas!  A year ago this week my Mom was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Needless to say our Christmas was not very joyful.  My mom had surgery in January and had 6 weeks of chemo and 2 months of radiation.  The cancer had not spread and she has an excellent prognosis.  Praise the Lord.  Jesus is indeed a wonderful counselor, mighty God and Prince of Peace to me and my family.   I pray He is all these things for you this special time of year and always!

Here is a picture from this Thanksgiving of me and my brother and Mom.

Here is a picture of my sons and nephews.  I am truly blessed.  I wish my sister and her family could have joined us!  Joining Common Ground Party!

It Takes A Village!!

I finally started my Christmas decorating yesterday.  I have to do it in stages when the LOML can help me get things out of the attic.  Pictured above is my Thomas Kinkade village my MIL gave me.  I set it up on my green buffet in the entry way.  I also put up my Kitchen tree.  I try to keep food related ornaments on it, but a few stray ornaments have found a home there too!
I am linking up with Debra at Common Ground.

More Christmas Inspiration

Look at these gorgeous antique windows, sigh....

This store is called The Market, I work here part time.  We had a very busy open house last weekend.  I love the eclectic mix of merchandise we sell here.  If you are ever in Springfield, MO stop by and say howdy!
Linking up with Common Ground for some inspiration!
