Do you think I am a Granny if I like to Crochet?

Lyndi thought the yarn was her new toys.  Do you remember what happened in the movie "The Ugly Dachshund"?  Yarn and Dachshunds are not a good combination.
I like to pick up yarn at thrift stores.
I didn't make this granny square throw.  I bought it for $1.00 at a thrift store.  I thought it would make a great porch throw when the cooler Autumn temps arrive.
My Mom taught me to crochet when I was a little girl.  I have dabbled in it through the years.  Most recently making scarves for my friends and family.  I am by no means a master but I can make simple things.

Count On Me...

Number plates found at Target for $2.99 each. They reminded me of the Anthropologie jars I found on clearance in Portland. I am not sure where I will display them. Target also had other pieces in this line. I am sure they will be all over Blogland so hurry to get yours.

I Love Me Some Shoes...

Out there in Blogland I heard about a website called shopruche.com, sorry I haven't learned Mr. Linky yet. I scooted over there and found some awesome shoes. Since my birthday is next week, I decided to save the LOML the trauma of deciding what to get me and snapped up 2 pairs of these beauties.

The gray color ones have the cutest leather flower cut outs in a maryjane style. All leather with a wooded sole. The name of the brand is Pink Studio, the style is Bellina.

The open toe brown jewels are the same brand, Pink Studio, the style is Junnet. I like my little piggies peeping out (only when I have a pedi, which I am thinking is long overdue) Hop over to Ruche and find some cuties for yourself. P.S. they have clothes too...

Pillow Talk

This is a pillow I made from a faux fur scrap, I thought is was a snow leopard print, but it kind of reminds me of a snakeskin, yuck. It really is prettier in person.

I sewed a couple of pieces of antique lace together and embellished it with a ribbon bookmark.
The blogs that I follow feature feedsack pillows everywhere. They can be rather pricey. I found a store here in Springfield that have a variety of styles ranging in price from $14.00-$19.00. The name of the store is Indigo Imports.
