A Girl Can't Have Enough Pink!

I like to collect vintage linens or reproductions. I found these aprons and fell in love with the "pink" and the retro feel. The white and pink one was a find on clearance at Anthropologie during my trip to Portland in February. The smocked one came from TJ Maxx. I first saw it on HomeandHarmony blog. I think they will make a splash with my wellies!

I have been wanting "Wellies" for a while. They are so handy taking the dogs out, or enduring the rainy and winter months here in Missouri. I read the blog "My Shabby Streamside Studio" and she had the cutest pink wellies. She had found them at Tractor Supply for $30.00. So I goggled Tractor Supply and a brand new store just opened in Nixa. So I made a beeline to the store and found a pair for $19.99 plus 10% off. So for $17.99 I am ready for Mother Nature.

Chandelier Makeover

When we moved into our new home, I converted the dining room into a sunroom. I liked the chandelier that was in the dining room so we moved it to the dinette area. We put a ceiling fan in the converted sunroom. I wanted to add a splash of color so I bought ready made shade kits at Hobby Lobby. All you do is cut out fabric of your choice using the template in the shade kit. Then you stick it on and glue the top and bottom. I added fringe to tie it all in. I already had fabric from my stash. With coupons it cost about $25.00. I will post pictures of the sunroom soon.

Guest Bedroom

When we downsized to this house so did the guest bedroom. It is hard to tell in the photo but the room was already painted a pale yellow. I liked the color and I already imagined a blue and yellow color scheme. I found the yellow quilt on the bed at TJ Maxx and I already had the shams and toile curtains. The wardrobe is a family heirloom that we have moved about 8 times through the years to our various homes. I dedicated this room to our ancestors with pictures of grandparents, parents etc. I had assembled a collection of pictures of women and horses from the same era and hung them. My Mom has been staying here over 2 weeks and really likes "her room".
