Spring Colors

Even though there is a chill in the air, it is officially Spring! So I put away the dark wintry pillows, window treatments etc. And brought out some brighter, lighter tones in the hearth room. I found the cream rug at Ross and I already had the blue and white toile curtains and pillows.linking with Debra at

Do you seasonally switch out your decor? Thankfully I have a lot of storage in this house to hold everything.

Winter Living Room

Here is a few pictures of our downstairs hearth room all dressed up for winter. This room is open to kitchen and eating area. I like the neutral sofas and chair, because I can change out seasonally. It is about to have a spring fling and lighten up. Linking with commonground-do.com

Penny and Lyndi have claimed this sofa.

I will be posting pictures of the spring/summer switcheroo soon!

Another Open House

This is a cute farmhouse that I found in Alpharetta for sale by owner. I really like that it has been updated but still kept the character. Linking up with commonground-do.com

I am in love with the paint by number wall mural!

The kitchen is my favorite room, I love the built ins and windows.

The house is quite pricey around $400,000. because it has land. Have a blessed week.

4 Houses Ago...

This was our house 4 houses ago. It was one I accidently sold by owner. It is a long story....linking with modvintagelife.blogspot and  commonground-do.com
The couple who purchased the house from us sold it about 5 years later and that owner completely remodeled it. It was super cute before but the new owner painted all of the woodwork and cabinets white, and added new lighting, paint etc. To give it a modern french country look. I would have bought it again!
Many of the furnishings were purchased at a shop where I worked in Springfield called The Market. Sorry I don't have any exterior shots. It is a cute stone cottage. Thanks for stopping by!

Fairhope Cottage Dreams

I have had a long lasting dream of living on the coast for many years.  When I was a child I lived on the coast of North Carolina for several years and loved it.  I discovered Fairhope, Alabama through an article in Coastal living magazine and visited it once.  I love it and may retire there one day.  One can dream....
I found this listing through the blog Fairhope Supply Company a while back and it is still for sale.  It is my dream beach house, newer construction but made to look old and rustic. I am linking with modvintagelife.blogspot.com and commonground-do.com
